ㅁ”Expect great things from God, Attempt great things for God”
On 1st January, Pastor Yagobo delivered a message “Expect great things from God, Attempt great things for God” based on Isaiah 54:1~3.
Christian are people who believe what God promised. But many Christians don’t even expect anything from God. Some of them do not know how to rely on God. They have a tendency to count on their own abilities. But it is not the way in which the believer lives. We need to remember the words of Prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah prophesied ” ‘Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband’ says the LORD. ‘Enlarge the place of your tent, Strech your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities”
하나님으로부터 위대한 일을 기대하고, 위대한 일을 시도하라
2020년 1월 1일 야고보목사는 성경본문 이사야 54장 1~3절 말씀을 바탕으로 “하나님으로부터 위대한 일을 기대하고, 위대한 일을 시도하라”는 제목의 메시지를 전했습니다.
크리스천은 하나님의 약속을 믿는 사람들입니다. 그러나 많은 크리스천이 하나님으로 부터 어떤 것도 기대하지 않고 살아가고 있습니다. 어떤 이들은 하나님을 의지하면 사는 법을 알지 못합니다. 그들은 자신의 능력을 의지하며 사는데 익숙하고, 그렇게 살아가는 경향이 있습니다. 그러나 그것은 신앙인들이 사는 법이 아닙니다. 우리는 예언자 이사야의 말씀을 기억하기 바랍니다.
그는 이렇게 예언했습니다. “잉태하지 못하며 출산하지 못한 너는 노래할지어다 산고를 겪지 못한 너는 외쳐 노래할지어다 이는 홀로 된 여인의 자식이 남편 있는 자의 자식보다 많음이라 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라. 네 작막터를 넓히며 네 처소의 휘장을 아끼지 말고 널리 펴되 너의 줄을 길게 하며 너의 말뚝을 견고히 할지어다. 이는 네가 좌우로 퍼지며 네 자손은 열방을 얻으며 황폐한 성읍들을 사람 살 곳이 되게 할 것임이라”
